Really disappointed at these policies and at the massive financial loss I've had to take because of them. Our new bed was delivered to us today with a big tear at the bottom. I'm quite upset as our first bed that we bought from this shop in April was not a good fit at all, it made huge indents that made it incredibly uncomfortable and painful to sleep on, and we were told that it was a comfort issue and that we had to do a comfort-swap (while I understand that natural indents occur, I really can't see how the horrible pain we got from sleeping on that bed within a week of geting it is normal). We slept on that bed for less than a month, and then had to borrow a single bed from family as we simply could not sleep on the first bed without pain and discomfort. We went to the Woodmead Bed Shop on Saturday and we were interested in a bed that seemed a lot better than what we had, but then we were told we couldn't buy it as it was on sale, which I do not quite understand as we were still going to spend more money on this swap. (R1000 comfort fee, on top of R7000 for the old bed, so R8000 total, and the new bed was R6800. That is a huge R1200 loss for us, but we did not expect a refund for the R200 difference, and we were happy to accept as we were sleeping on the floor at that point as a single bed can't fit 2 people very well). We were told to come in Tuesday for the new (and more expensive) stock. We did so (ended up paying R5000 on top, so that's R13000 total) and got our delivery today (Wednesday), but there was a huge tear in the bottom of this new and more expensive bed. I want to say that the staff was really wonderful and kind, they did help a lot and I appreciate them so this complaint is not about the staff at all, but rather the policies of the company that required me to unnecessarily pay R5000 more for a bed that arrived with a tear, especially when I could have walked out of the shop on Saturday with a great new bed without having to spend so much more
