Firstly, the salon is absolutely beautiful and the customer service is really great. The best thing about the salon is the owner, literally 10/10. I am a bit disappointed with my hair though. The hairstyle is called “curly pop” that I saw on their insta page. It was going fine at first, so I took off my glasses and I was just on my phone. When we were done, the blocks in front were so big and really bulky. I told the hairstylist that I don’t like it, and I don’t understand why the blocks aren’t the same size throughout. She explained that it’s because I have a lot of hair and she’d have to add more extensions, which Id have to pay for. What baffles me, is why didn’t she let me know that the extensions aren’t going to be enough, and ask if I want to add extensions and pay for them or if Im comfortable with bigger blocks. I am aware that I have a lot of hair and the hairstylist always asks me what I want to do. So, she redid 4 rows in front. But now the blocks she redid are way smaller than the rest of my head (I only realised this when I got home). I think the only way she could’ve fixed it really is if she redid half of the hairstyle, which I probably wouldn’t have had time for. It still looks better than the huge bulky blocks she did before. I really am disappointed, as I don’t think that I got my money’s worth (paid R810). I recently relocated to Pretoria and I’ve been looking for places to do my hair. I’m not sure if I’ll be going back, if I do it will be because the owner is really great. She even asked me if I’m satisfied with my hair now, and I told her that I was (which was true until I got home). She also sells really beautiful wigs.

I love the aesthetics of the Salon and the professionalism of all the beauticians. My favourite place to be where I get offered something to drink while doing my nails and listen to good music and great conversations HBN Beautè has become my home even when I just want to do pedicure or manicure
